I've been enjoying grabbing a quick lunch at Taste of Orient's hot bar. The purple sticky rice is always hot and goes well with dishes like laab and fried chicken. The prices are competitive and the owners are really friendly. I'd heard about this place before but finally decided to give it a try while in town. The half Roast Duck Meal was delicious, definitely one of the best I've had. The Hmong Sausage was also really good, can't go wrong with spicy sausage. If I find myself hungry in Hickory again, I'll definitely be back.
