Step out of your comfort zone and venture inside. Despite initial doubts from the exterior appearance, the seafood offerings inside are truly exceptional. The generous portions, light breading, and flavorful sides make for a satisfying dining experience that is worth the initial hesitation. The attentive service and delicious dishes will make you glad you took the chance and walked through the door.

My sister, cousin and I went to Friday's 1890 in New Bern Saturday and I was so disappointed in the food and the inside. The inside was nasty the carpet was nasty, table cloth look like the have not being wash in years, food on the floor. The place need a overhaul. And the food was not good fish taste like it was old the coleslaw was old had turn brown the hush puppies was cook to done that they did not have any filling. Will never eat there again.

Will not be returning to this restaurant ever again. Completely messed up my order. The staff cannot communicate effectively, and ruined my dinner tonight. Highly upset and unsatisfied with the restaurant's duty to clean after customers and make sure EVERYBODY WEAR A MASK!

We had the worst experience in this restaurant. We had RAW seafood. It was not cooked. Shrimp still jellied should have been broiled. I have had this happen more than 3 times now. I will never eat there again

Fish and shrimp not cooked enough. Out of some side orders. Too expensive for what you get. Senior price for 2 people was just as much as regular order and less food. Will not return.

We got an order of shrimp and oysters and the oysters were NOT cooked all the way done. Cold and watery they are to big to try and fry all the way through. Smaller ones cook better. I noticed the Health Dept Rating and was shocked it was a B I will not eat there until they get an A rating I have shared our experience with a lot of people and they said they will not go there either.

Last week enjoyed a great combo dinner of oysters, shrimp and scallops with baked potatoes and fried okra. Going back today to try out lunch menu. I think I will try the combo but this time with oysters, jumbo shrimp and fried catfish with baked potatoes and the veggie of the day.
