We had a delicious meal at Hollands near Topsail Beach, nothing too fancy but just right for us locals. The loaded baked potato soup was outstanding, I even got two cups to take home! The service was excellent, the portions were generous, and the atmosphere was perfect for a relaxed dining experience.

After reading all the bad things people are saying, I had to write my own review. I have always enjoyed the food when traveling in the area. I don't mind exiting I-40 for the winding drive that seems to get longer the hungrier you are. The food is fresh, served so hot, the juices from the Scallop and Oysters will scald your mouth! The portions are generous and if I had one complaint it would be that the breading used makes it a little too salty but I would never want them to change it. Oh, and the Cole Slaw could use a little tweaking but I eat it. The bottom line is, you get more than you expected, the food is hot and well seasoned and I love it! If the service is bad, the waitress is nasty, don't leave a tip, that gets their attention. There's a tip jar at the cash register for the cook, if you want to show your appreciation for the good food, this is where you leave your tip!
