Ordered the clams and chips, along with an order of fish and chips. It was awful, the quality is gone and the prices are sky high for clams. The front of house staff are poor when it comes to customer service, I asked for takeout and the order came as dining in, when I asked for takeout containers, the cashier rolled her eyes and tossed the order back to the kitchen. Not an apology, nothing said when it was handed back. I have come here for the last ten years over the summers, I wont be returning. Sad that such a wonderful place in the past has gone so down hill.

Pretty sure it's outdated!

Seriously gone down hill. Just awful. No longer the worlds best clams may be the world worst clams. Little dried bits and pieces and staff could not care less. Milk shakes are equally disappointing. Sad what this once iconic but still expensive "Clams & Shake" spot has become.
Save a lot of money and eat much much better by just going a mile down the road to the Hunts Point General Market.
