The dining experience at Scalini Fedeli was exceptional, with delicious food, impeccable service, and a cozy ambiance that made for a memorable evening.

amazing food and service

Had my 40th here and we were a rather large party, needless to say we were a little bit loud. It seemed as if the tables around us were getting upset, so the manager came over and told us politely to try and keep the volume down.As for the food and service its just about the best we ever had in an italian restaurant.
01/11/2007 - Never Again
Ego maniacs are not unusual in the chef biz, and this "little Napoleon" is no exception. michael cetrulo, "chef" if you can call him that, is not only heavy-handed with the olive oil and salt (on every dish), but it's obvious that he's got the wait staff in constant fear - we watched him verbally abuse a server right on the dining room floor in plain view and ear shot of his "guests". His reputation for abusing staff is no secret, yet seeing him so matter-of-factly and blatantly doing it was disturbing.
Also, to make up for the bad food, he might want to consider gouging people a little less on his wine prices. Even the Italian wine selection was limited due to the wasted space for flabby california wines. What's next here, ketchup? One might suggest hiring a sommelier if not for the fact that it's far too late for this sinking ship because the food is terrible anyway.
Suggestion: dine elsewhere, nyc is full of terrific restaurants
