Booked here before seeing little shop of horrors and upon reflection the show started early
Ever felt you were in a movie or that life is a series of black swan events? Well that happened to me recently.
I was attracted by the reviews of this restaurant but have concluded that it's only worth heading to If you like your starters and main course at the same time, water thrown over you, large lumps of butter in the middle of your pasta, weird takes on standard Italian food.
I'm used to a certain standard but honestly you know you've in for a tough evening of spending your money when the waitress takes time to realise she's pouring water over the table and not into the glass.
It doesn't set a good tone but it then extends itself when you say you've a nut allergy. I'm used to staff being on the ball on this as it's such a common issue However, despite eating out regularly and in different towns,it's the first time I've been asked to inform the staff which nuts I'm allergic to rather than which one I'm ok with. I hope this is not a new trend as it could make ordering a much longer exercise!
I'm naturally an optimist and look for something positive but in this case it's been impossible.
