Hi, I went to Rajwadi thali with 2 friends yesterday. After the initial order, I went back to the counter to order a pav bhaji (no extra pav). Like most of us, I did accept and accept after paying via CC without any attention to the amount and added a 15% tip, and right then, I happened to see the final amount. It was 17+ dollars. Though it was my only second time there, I knew that something did not look right. I asked, "is Pav bhaji $17- that's expensive". He said, yes $14-15, something like that. I said ok, and then, he said no, it's 11.99 dollars and you added tip. Something still did not right, however, I did not want to haggle.
It was on top of my mind as I hate to be cheated. This morning, I looked at their site for the price of pav bhaji again- added tax and 15% tip and still `$15. That means that the owner added ~$2 extra to my bill, knowing well that most of us dont check the bill. And if we did, he could just say
"Sorry- mistake and give it back".
I really liked the food, though disappointed to say that I will not go back. And for all of you, who are going to Rajwadi thali- please CHECK, DOUBLE CHECK the amount. Sorry to say, but the owner is dishonest and likes to steal your money!
