I have loved this place since the early 90's.
Best salsa ever and great service.
My family eats here once a week and the staff knows us. They remember what we order.
I'll keep eating here and my kids will make the great memories that I have.

So, I have been a customer since before it moved from the location across the street. Yes, that dates me. It was my birthday lunch place as a child. I have never been disappointed by *this* El Matador. The other one in the neighboring county...that's another story altogether. The Ogden El Matador, though, is wonderful.

They are very aware of covid19 restrictions and take all precautions. I'm completely comfortable dining in.
Food is great, as it always has been!

This was the best mexican food restaurant. I love the chips & salsa, cheese enchiladas,& shrimp. I was told it changed ownership sometime in the 90's. The chips & salsa were still great, but other food wasn't as good as it was. My favorite part was the shrimp
THEY used to make these large beer batter fried shrimp. The last time I got food there they had changed the shrimp. It was changed to shrimp that all Chinese places are using. They are very small and I hate the breading. This was a while back so things could have changed. I will definately take my family there one day & see how it's doing. Thank you for making this page.
