The food was incredible, especially the blackened fish and chips paired with dill sauce, which made for a perfect meal. I've always enjoyed dining at OBN, as my husband loves their fish dishes and we consistently experience great service. When a small issue arose with our order, Brandi handled it so well that it left a lasting impression on me, making me eager to return in the future.

The food at OBN is amazing, especially the fish and chips, and the slaw is a must-try side dish. The portions are generous, filling, and delicious - a perfect combo! The service is prompt and friendly, and they make sure your food comes out hot and tasty every time.

I like the concept, OBON here in Newark is the only restaurant in the chain I have been to so, others might be different as common sense would dictate, but here, I have been to three times, but each time the service is mediocre at best, the place was not packed not busy at all, and yet, it took at least a half an hour to get our meal, no doubt if their busy you must be patient, but this has not been the case anytime I have been there, different waiters each time, that's why I feel funny writing a review because you don't want to come off as that customer from hell lol, it just not good service, the food the first trip was good, for pub food, I had the fish and chips, which were excellent, but the fries were cold, there were four in our party all their fries were cold, but over all not bad, but the second time we had pretty much the same experience, except this time the fish was over done and the fries were cold, look lol I want to like this place, so we tried a third time, once again I ordered the fish and chips, fries were nice and hot but the fish was way over cooked, waitress acted like she was too busy to refill drinks, when there was only about 10 people in the whole place, they didn't even have their signature fried mushrooms, we were told they weren't on the truck lol look I don't write reviews, I have friends who are waiters, I know it's a tough job, and I am a 30 to 40% tipper, I just really want to like this place but they are making it hard to keep coming back, this location has hosted several failed restaurants over the years, this one has seemed to do better but if this is the norm, I wouldn't expect it to be around long, franchise or not, but alas I probably will be back, I guess I'm just a glutton for punishment lol because I keep hoping 😂
