ZERO STARS if I could.
Left several messages two months after pig was dropped off to ask why I had not been contacted and still no return calls.

Relative who dropped off pig and took other half went to pick his up and mine was ready. He picked mine up along with his and we were short on meat. 3 small roasts, 5 packs of sausage, a small ham, a loin and not much bacon and that's supposedly half of a 287lb pig"¦.

The meat was all cut wrong had half a cow with one filet steak.Also the dates were all different 10/1/22 11/1/22 12/1/22..tried to call and get help and no call back. IM going to pursue this with legal action.its redicilous how they handle the meat and customer service.i don't belive this is even the cow that was butchered....

I ordered summer sausage and trail baloney.
It was not fit to eat. Had to toss it out. Wasted my deer meat. I had excellent doe super clean quick kill. This stuff was like they used road kill.
Seriously it tasted just like that shop smells.

I am very unhappy with Shirer Brothers Meats and would not recommend doing business with them in the future.

I ordered half a hog from a local farmer that was going to drop the pig off to be butchered by Shirer Brothers Meats. I called Shirer Brothers Meats twice before the farmer dropped off the pig and once after he dropped off the pig to confirm how I wanted my half of the pig butchered. Each time I called Shirers I made sure to emphasize and have them confirm that I wanted my half of the pig left whole with the skin on and every person I talked to over the phone from Shirer confirmed that they could do that and that was how my meat was going to be butchered.

When I picked up my meat from Shirer Brothers Meat my half of pig had been skinned completely. When I respectively asked why the pig was skinned and that I had ordered the pig with skin on, I was rudely told that they do not scold pigs and can't butcher pigs with the skin on.

I understand not being able to do something and I am not upset because they couldn't leave the skin on. I do find it unacceptable the lack of communication in their business and the poor customer service I received everytime interacted with Shirer Brothers Meats. I would not trust this business handling my food and would avoid them at all cost.
