I was excited to order from this restaurant it appeared to be an upscale place and food looked delicious. We ordered 5 entrees and every single person was extremely disappointed with the food and the price they charged. Most of us ordered the hibachi fried rice. Let me start off by saying it was steamed plain white rice no fried about it. The menu stated it had zucchini, bean sprouts, onion and your choice of protein. It lacked all ingredients. If you combined the total of ingredients from all entrees it might of equaled a portion. Besides the lack of rice to ingredients ratio the flavor was very bland. I had to use several packets of soy sauce to get flavor. I am highly disappointed and will never return.

Downtown Hamilton needed this place. A little (just a little) upscale. A menu that plays to the local palate. It feels like the special place you recommend to visitors. Basil is one of those restaurants that become the face of the neighborhood. Face it, people in Greater Cincinnati need a reason to visit a neighborhood out here on the fringes of the metro area. Basil does it. The menu is creative, the food is cosmopolitan, the prices are reasonable, and the vibe is "¦ Big City Cool. And you don't have to go any further than High Street. No need to go here every week. But you should make this a regular stop in your nights on the town.
