I swung by for lunch and dove into the buffet, starting with a hearty salad. The salad section had plenty of options, but the lettuce seemed to be cut a tad larger than usual. The standout for me was the scrumptious chicken, while the other offerings like rice dishes and mashed potatoes left me wanting more. The service was friendly, and the overall experience was enjoyable - I especially loved the roast beef and gravy!

The owner is a crook! Becky stole from benefits, withheld child support payments from a employee, and also wrote bad checks to her employees and businesses! Do not support this trash, take your money elsewhere!

Very disappointed in the mashed potatoes. Uncooked lumpy and tasted like mixed with water instead of milk and thin. Early, 5:30 Tuesday and not much to choose from for dessert. Salad and toppings were normal choices. Disappointed in no paper menu choice.

Use to be a decent restaurant, last two times we were there only buffet. Paying for picked over jerky dried chicken, sides that they are not even sure what they are. If you are starving and passing through will hold you over until you find food.

We just ate there Friday night. Wow what an awesome delicious buffet. We will definitely be going back. It is now our favorite restaurant. Thank you to the owner, you have a great place!!

We had a party of 17, and one waitress for 17 and a wedding party. The poor waitress was frazzled. One staff member sat behind the buffet on her cell phone and didn't bother to assist the waitress. The food quality was less than homemade. The individual who checked us out was more concerned with the people waiting to be seated than the task at hand. Quite disappointed...

So happy with the new owners. It feels like the old Essen Haus again. We went for breakfast. The food and service were both good.

Excellent experience - food delicious! Taking extra precautions to keep diners safe. Excellent baked goods and gifts for your upcoming special events. Staff very nice. Provides plastic gloves at the buffet to touch handles on the serving spoons. Bathroom clean and stocked with paper goods.

Went on Monday night. Everything was hot on buffet and salad and desserts well stocked. Staff very helpful and courteous. Definitely will go back again.

My husband and I go to Essenhaus mainly on Mon eve. for the AWESOME broasted chicken! We love when the host calls our name to seat us. Our last name is Price. She says" Price is Right come on down! they have a great buffet every day! I highly recommend this restaurant. The waite staff are very nice as well!

Just ate at this restaurant. I am not impressed. The waitress was rude, the food warm not hot and warm but not cold for the salad bar. No dinner rolls and when asked they brought out 2for us and 4 for the buffet. All food was unseasoned except for the dressing which was bread only, not celery or onions just to much salt. We drove a long way to be disappointed from entry to exit.

Our first experience at this restaurant was a Monday 4 p.m. Chicken Buffet. Be sure to fill up your plate with the delicious broasted chicken, as all the rest is seriously awful! Won't go back just for the chicken, and unfortunately other customers will probably feel the same way.

They have the best fried chicken around for the best prices!
All the food is homemade and delicious. I've never had anything I didn't like there :)
They could have a bigger selection for dessert (I'm a chocolate lover and they don't always have a chocolate option), but otherwise, it's fantastic!

We visited this restaurant on New Years Eve and the advertised menu was buffet with chicken, beef and ham and you could add prime rib for 3.99 extra. When we arrived we were seated and the waitress told us that the manager had changed the special and the buffet was still 10.99 as advertised but the prime rib was now a separate dinner and you could not add it to the buffet. WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT! WE WILL BE SHOPPING FOR A DIFFERNT PLACE TO EAT NEXT NEW YEARS EVE! The buffet was ok but it really needs a lot of improvement.
