Experience delicious and speedy service at this Chinese restaurant nestled just off the main road in downtown Oberlin. The menu offers a variety of options, including many vegan choices, making it a great destination for those with dietary preferences. I particularly enjoy the Broccoli Tofu dish, and appreciate that the staff can accommodate any food allergies or restrictions to ensure a satisfying dining experience.

Have been coming here with my family for over 15 years. Three of my children were adopted from China and they especially love this place!! Incredibly nice family and always good food, good prices and good service. We find it better than most any of the Chinese restaurants downtown that we have tried.

I have been eating at the mandarin in Oberlin for about 18 years. I have never had an issue like what some of the people have posted. It seems like some of these people are acting like they paid $40 a plate and were very upset ( I would love to see there reviews of "high end" restaurants). This is not the case to me, the Mandarin is very affordable and a wonderful place to dine in. The atmosphere is wonderful for the amount of space they are allotted and the food is always wonderful. I was placing my order when I seen the review that struck me as odd, so I must take time out of my day to show that they are worth it. They treat everyone I know (that attends the restaurant) with more respect than most of the business i have been in the 23 states i have traveled. Just my two cents but if you are a bad customer and cause a problem for a locally owned family operated business they will refuse your service.

The waiter with those beautiful eyes is awesome ! Brought me out my food when i totally forgot it. Shout out to you girl. Your an offical Bada** ;)

I have been to The Manadrin in Oberlin many times. I have brought many people in to eat, but NEVER again ! The last time I was there, the food tasted as if it had been reheated and the chicken was very tough to eat, and was not even hot, just barely warm. When I mentioned this to the owner, she stood at the table and argued with me. When I told her that I have ordered this ( garlic chicken), and I loved it, she insisted on arguing with me...telling me that I don't order this. When I responded by saying, " I know what I eat here' " she shook her hands at me as to shoosh me away and then told me I could not get anything to replace it, and no discount or food taken off my check. Needless to say, I was not a happy customer. I insisted that she adjust my bill, and told her I would never come back. She finally adjusted the amount . I told her that I was going to write a review about her terrible customer service as well. Up until now, I did nothing. However, my daughter went back there today and wanted to place a carry out order. When the owner saw her, she told her that she did not like me, and that I was a mean person. My daughter told her that I felt the same way about her (just keeping it real), but who in customer service does that ? Anyway my daughter wanted to order food with lo mein instead of rice and mild on the sauce, and she refused to accommodate her order as such. Again, needless to say, my daughter turned around and walked out, and will never go back there. I would never recommend any establishment to anyone that handles their customesr in such a manner as this. Sad ting is, the young girl who works there as a server is fabulous. I just hope her employer treats her better than she treats her customers...now ex customers. Rated at terrible, but if there was an option of more than terrible, that would be my choice !

Very good food, especially the spicy dishes. Never have to wait long. Large portions, very friendly staff.
