Reservations were made two weeks ahead of time IN PERSON!!!. On 12/31/09 our party of ten was told the reservations could not be found. After our insistence, 20 minutes, and a lucky last minute cancellation by smarter people than us we were seated but our party had to be split. It took another 20 minutes before anyone came to take our drinks order. Another 20 minutes to get them. Another 15 minutes to have our orders taken. Salads came 15 minutes later. We had to ask foe more bread, more water. Another 30 minutes to get the food. minus my husband and my orders. "Yours will come later" we were told. Sure enough ours did come later and this is what was on my plate. 5 quarter sized scallops and a tsp of boiled spinach all covered with a couple tablespoons of sauce. Soooooo after 2 1/2 hours, we were irritated, almost deafened by the noise level, still starved after eating their sparse fare and on top of all this we were charged 20 % gratuity. When the gratuity was questioned because we were NOT a party of 7 or more because of the split.... we were given a shrug and an " oh well." Soooooo.... "oh well" none of us will be back, none of our friends will be back, none of our co workers will go back. We deserve better than the Manna, Newark deserves better than the Manna.
