First time there drove from Toledo after Church when friends told us a good place to eat love the perch and the frog legs everything was delicious cooked just right my husband said we are coming back he loved the food and the atmosphere

To the person who said this was not "Lake Erie" perch and l know for a fact that is true, having spoke with the cook who affirmed that. She told me it is Zander, that is a perch, but not necessarily from Russia but from Europe. The cook told me that the Lake Erie perch shrank much more than the Zander. We always take family from out of town there and they absolutely love it and when they come back in town they always want to go there. It is so laid back and the fish is five stars plus. I can't say enough good things about this place and guess what, you can take your dog in as long as you don't feed them from the table. Love this place!! You will get a kick out of the decor very eclectic.

As much as it pains me, because I love their fish. We I say we, a group of us use to go to eat fish about once a week or every other week. Some of us from holland, Ohio, lucky Ohio, fostoria Ohio and bowling green,?oh. Use to gather at tackle box. Our last visit one of their waitress asked us to leave even tho we had just ordered a few beers. They said we were there too long and had people waiting with no tables open. When we got up to leave there were no people waiting and they had open tables. We felt so un wanted. So we will not be back to tackle box. Sorry to say it left a bad taste.

The walleye is amazing and you get a amazing platter with plenty of fish and sides. The waitress are super friendly and very helpful as well. Definitely love returning.

First time back from Florida in 20 years. Did take-out of two perch dinners. It was wonderful. Light breading and very tender. Only fish in Florida similar to perch would be Grouper, if you can afford it.
I have found a new home for carry-out.

It is the best Lake Erie perch you will ever eat! So tender it melts in your mouth. If you are there during supper hours, there will be a wait time. If you like memorabilia, the walls and ceiling are full of it! So much to look at. Try The Tackle Box II, you won't be disappointed.

We made the trip yesterday for the first time and I have to admit it is the best I've ever been to! I love the deep fried perch and its really a good thing I don't live closer it is not weight watcher friend menu but oh so good..Well worth the overage in points...lol We came from 60 miles west of Toledo for this and it was worth the trip...good wait staff...also thanks
