The restaurant has shifted a bit from where it used to be, now more towards the northwest side of the railroad depot. If you find yourself lost, just give them a call and they'll come out to guide you in. The food here will fill you up, it's better than Dairy Queen but not quite like what mom would make for you.

The BEST hamburger in this part of the country,NO IFS ANDS OR BUTS!!! They brown the inside of the buns on the griddle which gives the burger that old-fashion slightly greasy touch that I have loved all my life. Also, all of the good trimmings like lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle, mustard and mayonnaise are available. My mouth is watering just thinking about their burger!!! It's worth the trip to get one!!

We accidentally found the Busy Bee Cafe on our way home from Beavers Bend. When our crowd of four sidled into the skinny little building, three of the people seated at the serving counter graciously vacated their seats for us. Within moments of sitting down, we were engaged in lively conversations with people on both sides of the counter. As we wrapped our hungry taste buds around one of the best hamburgers I've ever eaten, I began to feel like we'd been inducted into the Busy Bee family. The two guys who owned/ran the place were quite talkative and friendly. They knew everybody who came in – except us. Before we left we talked about every kind of dog we’d ever had and every kind of dog they ever owned. Now we know something about their family history and they know a little about us. So next year when we come back, maybe they’ll greet us like one of the regulars, like the guy sitting next to us who always gets the double double (double meat and double cheese) with extra vegetables, or the other guy who always gets the triple triple. And that’s what I love about out-of-the-way places in small towns. Good food, good people and friendly conversation. You wanna talk “happy meal”!!Next year we'll go back and visit our new friends.
