Having dined at El Royal for over 35 years, the Mexican food is my absolute favorite, with the loaded Chalupa, Mini Burrito with onions and tomatoes, unmatched cheeseburger, steak fries, 1/2 order nachos with beef, Tamale Dinner, cheese dip, and guacamole being my must-haves, and the great lunch value keeps me coming back every Friday night.

Been eating at El Royal for many decades. Some of the menu is nothing to write home about; pretty average Mexican fare, especially the tacos (they only serve hard shell or flour tortillas). The one thing I will raise up is their beef enchiladas. Had 'em all over the country and El Royal's are some of the very best. I really like their chips and salsa too. The chips are light and crisp, which makes the salsa and other dishes you eat them with the stars of the show. The nachos are quite good too, but if you order anything with refried beans on it, tell them either go really easy on them or omit them all together or whatever you odoris order is going to be hosed with 'em. Chris the owner/manager is rude and disagreeable. Wish Doc and Doris were still around. As long as you don't have to deal with her, it's a pretty good place to eat.

Food is good but if you go before 5:00 customer service is terrible.

Good food, great chips and salsa. The entrance and inside lacks a bit in character and certainly could be cleaner. The waitress staff are friendly but we seldom see them once we get our food.
