On 14 October 2023, 4:45 pm, me and my eight year old granddaughter went to our favorite Olive Garden Restaurant in Norman, Oklahoma and had a fantastic older woman waitress. About 30 minutes later, another much younger employee (waitress) took it upon herself to walk up to our table and scold me for wearing a Oklahoma State University hat in the restaurant. She was being serious and never laughed nor smiled, and said Norman is a Oklahoma University (OU) town. She made it clear that OU students work in this restaurant and I came along. I was very offended. I never disrespected her. I said the customer is always right and she said not for me because of my hat. She was not joking and walked away with her nose up. My granddaughter asked me if I knew her and I said no. Around 6:00 pm, I reported the incident to her boss "Joshua" who had me point her out. I did and he brushed me out the door soon after. He claimed that the general manage would have a talk with her. This same boss "Joshua" refused to take my name nor did he have his untactful employee apologize to me and my granddaughter. Joshua was just as terrible as his employee. He never apologized as well. As I told Joshua, I don't want his employee to be terminated, but held accountable for her actions. I wear a OSU cap because I work there, but live in Norman. I'm also a 21 year war veteran who fought for freedoms so we can wear different hats.
