This is the first time I've been to the new Keg on Wellington road. My husband and I just wanted a nice quiet dinner for two. It turned out to not be the case. The service at the table was just so "smothering" it just turned us off. It was unending attempts to "upsell" us on stuff we didn't want! I the case of dessert, they tried it 3 times!!!!
Do these people understand "no means no!!!".
That's it for me and the Keg.. never coming back!

Our waitress was so pushy and overbearing.
I don't drink alcohol, but she kept trying to upsell me on a specialty coffee ( one with Kahlua if I recall correctly ). When I told her I don't drink alcohol, she said "well, now is a good time to start.. I'll Keg-size it for you too!"
Who teaches these people service???

I've been to the Keg many times over the years. First time at the newest one in London (one of my friends works at this location). After reading some of the other reviews, I noticed the same problems occurred during my visit.
The servers on our visit (my friend was not one of them) were so overbearing with their upselling attempts, just ruined our experience.
I called my friend later to ask what was up with the service. They told me the general manager demands they do this to increase the overall 'Avg individual customer bill ". Apparently this GM has done this at the other Kegs in the city, and has been transferred 3 times due to his overbearing demands on his servers. My friend told me customers continually complained about being hounded with his 'upselling' demands, which always fell on 'deaf ears' until a few customers started contacting the Keg head office.
In the end, our dinner experience was awful, and we will not be returning to THIS location.

Our anniversary dinner was kinda ruined by the pushy "in your face" style of service.
Don't come here if you'd like a quiet romantic meal.. Cuz it ain't gonna happen!

I didn't come to the Keg for a 'value' meal, I expect to pay the premium price for steak meals, but I also expect to receive the 'premium' quality for my food.
That didn't happen on this day. More attention to detail is needed.

I felt that the servers were quite intrusive. This is not uncommon for the Keg. I was one in Mississauga and one in Toronto, and the the same problems existed there.
I prefer to be left to eat my meal in peace, rather than having multiple servers 'badger' me into getting a specialty coffee or a dessert. The "upselling harassment" is just a little too much.

This dinner was supposed to be an anniversary dinner. The server knew this, but wouldn't leave us alone! I've never had a dinner experience where the server (and the General Manager) tried to upsell us on drinks and desserts!
How bout leaving us alone and letting us enjoy our 10th anniversary????
We won't be returning for any more celebrations.

Walked in around 8:30 pm. According to one of our servers, all the prime rib was gone. She said if we wanted to have it in the future we should be there as close to "opening" as possible!!!
This is a huge restaurant. How bout being fully stocked for your customers??

I came in for my birthday and decided to go all out and treat myself. I ordered the Rib Eye (cost me $58 plus tax!). Unfortunately for me they cooked it almost well done when I asked for it medium rare. It was obvious to the other 3 people at the table. When I apprised them of their mistake the waiter denied I asked for it medium rare, even though everyone at the table heard me, AND they all asked for theirs Ned rare too. My best friend got his Baseball overcooked too. Considering the cost I wasn't going to let it go and got into an argument with a manager named Nick. He decided to take the side of the waiter. I ultimately got a new steak (rare this time) and took half of it home after I lost my appetite.
Last time I ever come here.

Service has really tailed off in the face of the pandemic. I used to come here all time. Prices have skyrocketed while quality table service has virtually disappeared. Very sad.

Came in for a high school reunion that was planned weeks earlier. We had reservations for 8pm but the manager (someone named Hillman) tried to serve and flip our tables prior to us arriving. Needless to say those customers were not finished by our reservation time, and we had to wait for an extra 45 mins. This was a complete disappointment and we will never go to the Wellington Rd Keg ever again.

Rude manager - Nicholas Hillman - wouldn't help when our server botched our entire meal. We were a party of 10 and the server tried to memorize all 10 orders. They were all wrong and dinner became a nightmare. All the steaks were cooked incorrectly.
Last time I ever eat here.

The service was quite annoying. The server was being completely overbearing in their attempt to upsell us on our meals. It got to the point where we had to tell them to stop it.
This was not an enjoyable evening.

Had a bad experience with our meals and later with the Manager (Nick was his name). Wasn't empathetic to our complaint that our expensive steaks were overcooked. Wouldn't take them off our bill (we barely ate them they were so bad). Offered us some discounted apps on our next visit!!!!!
I got news for 'Nick'. There won't be another visit.

Our server was on the whole, an -ss****. He had such an entitled attitude. As we were about to pay our bill he said very loudly, "don't forget the 30% tip!".
Guess what"¦ We did!!!! The only tip he got was the loose change in my pocket"¦

Manager was rude when I asked for my steak to be cooked a little more. I wasn't even asking for a new steak!! This behaviour is starting to seem like the norm in hospitality now that Covid protocols are easing up.
