Everything about my dining experience at this local spot was exceptional - from the quality of the food and attentive service to the inviting atmosphere. The pricing was fair for the level of fine dining offered. The attention to detail in the tasting menu, with 2 starters, 2 entrees, and 2 desserts, truly made the experience special.

I would not recommend this place to anyone who prefers to eat "fresh" food. This place serves food that is on the cusp of going bad.

I came here a couple years back and didn't have a stellar experience. The owner, Brian Plouffe, heard about this bad experience from a friend, and they told me to give them another chance to "impress", and, to mention 'his' name if we decided to dine there.
At the behest of my wife, we visited again. We mentioned Mr Plouffe's name to the server only to get the response, "everybody knows Brian""¦.
Needless to say, the service went downhill from there, and that was also reflected in the quality of the food and drink. The meals came out almost cold, and our drinks tasted like there was no alcohol in them.
I'm not sure what kind of atmosphere these people are trying to sell but I will not be returning to experience this ever again.

Made a reservation 2 weeks in advance. Arrived for dinner 15 mins early, only to find whoever took our reservation forgot to "log" it, or write it down.
Very unprofessional.
We didn't wait for a table to come available. We left and ate elsewhere.

I'm a Chef by trade, and I have to say I was very disappointed with the food quality and presentation displayed when I dined here. I felt there was not enough care or attention to detail paid to construction of the dishes.
I would not suggest travelling to sample the fare at this establishment.

Very disappointing dinner. The meals were not worth the price we paid. The service was also less than spectacular for a "fine dining establishment ".

We ordered the halibut and iberico pork. The pork was way overdone, and halibut was lukewarm. For fine dining these things cannot happen. The chef needs to pay more attention.

Had a very unpleasant experience. Complained to someone named Brian Ploofe (maybe a manager or owner). This gentleman was very rude and condescending to myself and my date. We drove all the way from London, only to get disrespected by this man.
The food wasn't very appetizing either.
Go somewhere else if you can.

Had a very unpleasant experience on my last visit. I called the owner the next day and he seemed unfazed by our experience. He said he give us a discount the next time we were in!
I felt that was pretty presumptuous and arrogant, considering we had no intention of returning unless Mr Plouffe was going to rectify the situation while we were talking on the phone.
This type of behaviour has become all too common with restaurants. What this owner doesn't think about is that losing us in the short term might not bother him, but in the long term, word of mouth from us to all our friends, and us never coming back will eventually hurt their bottom line as competition with other restaurants hits high gear.
All very disappointing.

My wife and I drove here from London to sample the fare. We were not very impressed with the quality of the food, or the speed the service. This is the first and last time we come here.

First time here. I ordered the Wagyu Shortrib. The horseradish potato was less than appetizing.
Service was ok but not the standard I would be expecting from a "so-called" 5-star establishment.
Probably will not be returning.

Travelled 30 mins to try this place on advice from a colleague. What a waste of time. Table service was pathetic considering the prices they charge for their food.

Service was less than stellar. Our waiter seemed new and inexperienced. Wasn't very knowledgeable about the menu items. Had to go back to the kitchen twice to get answers to our menu questions.
Not exactly what we expected from a so-called fine dining establishment.

I was invited to try this by a friend who knew the owner - Brian Plouffe. Upon arrival the place seemed quite empty so I assumed service would be relatively quick. I was incorrect, service happened at a glacial pace. Meals were not worth the wait. I felt that the fish was not fresh, and borderline bad. I relayed this to our server a few 'bites' in, and their reaction was not of surprise. There was no offer of a different course, or taking it off our bill. The server took our number to pass on to her owner. A couple days later Brian Plouffe himself called and yelled at us for being rude to his server, called me the 'C' word and hung up.
I would avoid this place at all costs as the staff and ownership have some sort of diluted view of food service.

Came in for the trout. Was told by the owner Brian a few weeks earlier that it was to die for.
Well I ordered it, it was not "to die for". Nothing special, overcooked, and far too salty.

Not a very clean place. As the other reviews pointed out, the bathrooms were especially unclean. This kind of ruined the whole experience with King Street Trio.

Wasn't impressed with the place. Someone needs to do more regular checks on the bathrooms. The ladies bathroom had no toilet paper and the floor was disgusting.

Gave this place a second chance after an unpleasant first visit. Nothing new has changed. Unhappy rude servers, and a manager named Brian who 'dressed' down one of his staff in front of patrons. Very unprofessional.

I had the trout for dinner. Was not happy with the quality. The fish tasted like it was about to turn bad. Asked to speak with manager but no one came to speak to our table. Too busy to hear criticism and apologize? I think so.

Food was literally cold by the time it got to us. I think there was some sort of "drama" going on in the kitchen with some management/owner figure.
I guess they forgot about their customers while they were arguing with each other.

It took a really long time to get our food, and to get more drinks. The food was ok , but we took most of it to go after waiting so long.

Had an unpleasant experience with my dinner. I had the Trout plate. The fish was clearly bad. I finished about 1/3 of the dinner and began to feel ill.
It was taken off the bill but I felt awful for 3 days after.
That will be my 1st and LAST visit to the King Street Trio.
