Worst food ever. Dinner was terrible. Had the surf & turf. Fish dripping with grease, steak was not made to my order. Expressed my concerns to the management. I was comp. 1/2 price for a meal I didn't eat with no apologies from the management. I will never eat there again. And for the prices they charge I expect better. Eating here is a bad choice.

I had the worst 1/2 rack of ribs I have ever eaten in my life! The meat was dried out stringy and smothered in sauce to cover up how horrible it really looked. Enter at your own risk!

We were looking forward to stopping here and having a bit to eat. Calling ahead, I was told they would be able to accommodate our eating restrictions and allergies (gluten free and dairy free) for our family. When ordering we barely looked at the menu explaining to the waitress what we wanted. "Just fish. Not battered, no fries, no coleslaw." Our kids ordered burgers, just the patty. With a side of apple sauce. And the third child, a piece of fish like ours without batter. When the food was served the kids had it served on paper that bled red dye on their food. Because of our allergies I had to cut off those pieces. The blueberries were Awful and were clearly thawed out. We had been driving so long we were all so hungry we ate most of it (the half we could that didn't have dye) Then when we got the bill they charged us full price even after we shared our concerns and only ordered half the normal order. The manager was not available. The staff chose policy over customer service. I would not recommend this place. Stop anywhere but here. It's a shame too because it was a really cute place. *the server also asked if I'm local. I said, "No, but I'm vocal." Hopefully they change their policy and get some heart back into this cute place.

We as local coastal people like to try all of the different resturants here.
I ordered mac and cheese and was served kraft box junk! We will never go there again.

Last weekend I was looking up Dory Cove hours and ran across some reviews. I was quite shocked at the terrible things said about our favorite restaurant for the last twenty years . Surely they were wrong .
But as we got there 10 minutes before they opened and there wasn't a line wrapping around the building my fears began to rise . We've been known to come an hour or more early to stand in line for at least two hours as the food was always worth it .
That alone should tell you everything that is wrong . After our very disappointing meal . I gently asked our very nice waitress if it was the same owners . So I guess it was sold about five years ago . Unfortunately the new owner didn't take advantage of the previous owners experience. They may have baught the rites to the original recipes but don't know how to follow them .
So poor quality smaller portions and outrageous prices . We won't go back . Which is so sad as this was a big family tradition for our family .
Don't get me wrong we are willing to pay more great food but this was barely edible . Most of us didn't finish our clam chowder which never happened before .
This was not our first visit since the new owner . We have been in denial the last 3 years. But we have to face reality that our Dory Cove is truly gone .

if there was a lower star rating, it deserves it. shrimp way too browned on outside, rubbery inside, old fry oil ? Fish under cooked. They call it a loaded baked potato ? besides the potato not fully cooked a bit of bacon bits and cheese on it and they call it good? Tossed salad had some brown lettuce. Berry pie - instead got a ganola-ie berry cobbler. and $30+ for THAT! for that price could have gone to a high end restaurant and received better food.
