Love the place

We always thought Tanner's was a nice local bar to stop for a relaxing drink and a quick bite to eat. Have to say it used to be a lot better than it is now. The food is still decent, but the service and treatment of customers seems to vary by how well they know you...or something. The place was not busy (2-3 people at the bar, 1-2 tables with people who were just talking and not eating). We still waited 10 minutes at a table before we decided to approach the bartender to order food and drinks. Instead of taking our order, she said she would send a waitress, who was actually one of the people sitting at the bar drinking!? In the time between asking for a waitress and placing our order, they received a large call-in order. Evidently, this call-in order was a good reason to delay our order for 40 minutes. All told it took 1:15 minutes for our order...two burgers and fries. The waitress did not stop by after delivering our food to ask if we wanted another drink, how's the food, or anything. We finished our burgers, set our empty drinks and plates aside, and sat at the table for another several minutes. I then went up to the bar to ask to cash out but was told that the waitress will bring us the bill. Again, the waitress was drinking and socializing at the other end of the bar. Our previous Tanner's visit was a "little off" but we figured sometimes things happen. But this follow-up experience seems to indicate they really don't care.
