My Husband's Brother comes in from New Hampshire to visit family in Wheeling, WV, Twice a Year. We live in Charleston, and drive up to Meet with Them to have Lunch with Him, His Wife and Son. I always buoght things there that they sell. We Needed an extra chair, asked for one and no one brought us one. There were five of us. They weren't full or real busy either. So after a minute or two, I asked again for a chair, with no response, again. So I grabbed a chair from another empty table, and the roof blew off. Every Single Cook, Waitress, Dish Washer, started raising heck. Saying; "Did you see what that Woman Did"? "She walked over to that table and took that chair like she owned this place". What was I supposed to do, sit on my Husband's Lap, we did ask politely for another chair, twice?
The whole time we were there, they cussed, fussed and fumed as though I was a Common Thief. As a result, we didn't leave a tip.
You don't treat customers in that way if you want them to come back. No wonder they're closed. I hope they reopen, and We Will Give Them A Second Chance. You work For Us, We Don't Work For You!!!!
You Should Be Ashamed Of Yourselves for Treating Someone Like That!!!
I Was Born And Raised In WV, and Still Live Here. Never Treated So Rudely!!!

A joyful memory from childhood

Out family enjoys stopping at this place whenever we travel to visit family up north. Food is quick, tasty, and reasonably priced. They also have a cute little gift shop.

My wife and I went to eat and thought we'd stop in the Dutch Pantry since we haven't been there in so long, we stopped going because the management has let the place go to crap and we just didn't like the manager Dennis, but we thought we would give it another try and we had the Best service that we have ever had anywhere. Our server was very nice and very polite, and our drinks never went empty. Thank you Maggie for taking such good care of us
