Great food!

Today, on mother's day, it was obvious where to take my wife. As per our review below, this is one of our favorite places to go. Im a business owner and have clients that fly into this area constantly and this is the only place I refer them. This time, we have a new joy in our life, our 10 month son Sawyer. We have no help, we have no one to watch him, we raise him 100% on our own, so this was a treat for all 3 of us. For the first time, we brought Sawyer to Talbot's. We got there right around when they opened and there was a 30min wait.. no big deal at all, we expected it, well worth it (we thought). We played in the back yard, waited and were called right around the 30 min mark. Great as always, but this is where things change. We ordered our drinks and apps right when we were sat. The app came out very late, in fact, people who were sat after us received thiers first. But that's okay, our son is hanging in there. In-between waiting for the app we ordered our main dish. The app was taking so long that we were worried it would come out with our meal. Low and behold that wasn't going to be a concern. It took so long to get our meals that we finally asked for them to go. Then the manager came out and said "your meal ticket only says 20 minutes so I'm not sure what's wrong, but I'll give you dessert".. we were so shocked.. we declined the desert and just asked or our check. Our ticket was clearly well over 20 minutes, it's laughable to say thay. She then even admitted she believed something happened in the back and they messed up. Then a lady from another table came over and said "I sure hope you're not going to pay for that meal, you came before us and it's been a very unreasonable time." Then, no joke, two other tables (there's only like 7 out on the patio) stepped in and said what happened was so wrong, especially with our child. Then the manager came back out and she was made aware by everyone we shouldn't have had to pay. She said "that's fine, we're taking the food then". I replied "I don't want that, it's mother's day, that's horrible we just wanted a nice meal".. she responded and I didn't hear it 100% clear, "ya your ticket was only 1hr, so... And I gave you hush puppies for free".. I kindly thanked her for the hush puppies, paid my tab and left. A 4th table, who never interjects must have known the owner or someone because he picked up his phone and said "this isn't good at all"... Ya that's not very good to do to someone who is an avid fan. Follows your Instagram, sends his business clients to you, and overall has spent thousands. This wasn't about a free meal at all, my wife and I walked away very embarrassed.
Btw I never asked for a manager. I'm not sure if she came out bc people on the patio threw a fit for us, or if she literally just came out to fight with us. We simply just asked for our food to go.
Thanks for ruining my wife's first mother's day. We really appreciate it.

I was there recently and for the 3rd time in a row,
received a awful meal. My steak was completely dry and overcooked I asked for medium they brought me well done. I received 6 pencils sized asparagus pieces and a couple of tablespoons of mushrooms. They gave me a dinner on a child's size plate so it didn't appear so empty. I never left a restaurant hungry before. And I paid a pretty heftyy fee for a terrible experience. I didn't even eat 2/3 of the steak because it was so dry. When I said something to the waiter about it, He said he'd already ask me how it was and that was a lie. My companions were also unhappy about their meals but didn't want to make a complaint since it was my treat. Later we discussed it and decided we will never go back. I thought this place had potential when it 1st came to town but it seems like it's really gone downhill.

Greater at the door, seated with a smile.. Excellent service, high quality food and a friendly environment. Hats off to the cooks once again !! Buy the cooks around it's worth hereing them cheer and clap..
