The food and drink prices are reasonable, making it a worthwhile stop in Reading, just a short distance from downtown. Whether for a date night or a family outing, the fabulous food and service make it a great all-around choice. I particularly enjoyed the Tuesday night steak special, with the Delmonico steaks being generously sized and delicious when ordered extra blackened. The cozy atmosphere and friendly staff make it a place I look forward to returning to.

The food is excellent especially the Prime Rib specials. The smallest of the three cuts offered is plenty even for my husband! It is a very busy place on weekends (starting Thurs.) so reservations are a must. Weeknights have some great specials. Watch out for the "wings" even the mild are spicy.

Called on Friday 2/12 and talked to a male person and secured a reservation on Saturday night 2/13 at 7:15pm. Showed up just before and was told there was no reservation. Was asked if it was under a different name. Did not realize that I had a different name. How dumb is that? Then was completely ignored by the staff. Waited for 45 minutes then had to ask several times what is going on, and then was told we could have a small table against the wall by this huge white board that no one was using. Who would want to sit next to the large white board in the back! This was suppose to be a romantic night with my husband, but we ended up leaving. I would not recommend this place. People working there are rude, and I was very disappointed that they ruined my Valentines evening! Will NEVER GO TO BIXLERS LODGE EVER!!!
