The "New" City Diner is a great place to eat. The food is good in quality and portion, the service is pleasant and efficient, the surroundings are clean and attractive and the prices are competitive. Definitely should be on anyone's list who might be looking for a good place to eat! (No, I am not related to the diner in any way except as a repeatedly satisfied customer.)

As of July 14, 2009 the City Diner is under new ownership. While most of the waitstaff remains the same, the new owners have introduced a completely new menu and dessert menu, installed a salad bar, and bring a clean and friendly atmosphere that might have been lacking before (refer to review #2). The diner has experienced an internal facelift that is ongoing--new paint, carpet, chairs, counter, lights and eventually bathrooms, tabletops, and booths. The floor manager is very amiable and concerned with the comments and requests of his customers. The food is fabulous. Highly recommended!
