My husband and i go there frequently as we live close by. Staff are very friendly and food is very good. They have different specials every day.

Their food is always good. They have cheese steaks that are the best I believe I ever had. They come with french fries, and, if you never tried gravy on your french fries, you just may want to. Denise Brightbill Myerstown, Pa.

Three of us made a stop on our way back home to Lancaster, from Allentown recently. We all were hungry, and looked for a place to stop and eat. Saw the sign for Esther's, and since it was right off the highway, we stopped in. Not fancy on the inside, but simple and clean, which is fine by me. Both the food, and the service, were top notch! If you go there for either lunch or dinner, do yourself a favor, and if they have it, DO NOT pass up the fried chicken! All three of us ordered it, and no one was disappointed! In addition to the pieces of fried chicken being enormous, the sides that came with it were substantial, as well (couldn't pass up cottage cheese, with apple butter on top-very PA dutch). The fried chicken is as good, if not better, than any fried chicken joint i have been to (and yes, that does include the south). The prices are very reasonable for what you get, and we had a kind, friendly waitress (who i left a nice size tip for). To reiterate, get the fried chicken! We'll be making a return trip in the spring. Can't wait!

We have not been there in years, stopped for dinner, I had the Black Diamond Steak, it was out of this world, best I ever had and done just right. Service was great, too - Putting this one back on our list of regular stops!!!!

Stopped in twice over the past 3 months. Both times it was great. Chicken noodle soup is great and the Veal cutlet was excellent.
Great place for food when in the I 78, I81 area.

Great place to eat! I had the breaded pork chops with 3 sides that were very good. Waitress was friendly and accommodating. We have eaten here over the years and have never been disappointed. Good place to eat before going to Penn National Racetrack/Hollywood Casino. Quality food at reasonable price. Enjoy!

With a name Like Esther's I had to stop.
It didn't seem to be busy, but it was mid afternoon and there was a steady stream of new diners, the food was fast and good, I had pork and sauerkraut, with Harvard beets and Mashed, the beets were pickled and very good , the Mashed was instant but yummy, the pork , as tender as could be. The server "Missy" was polite, funny and always moving, she never skipped a beat with several tables and counter service at the same time, VERY good service!
I had the cherry cream cheese pie, nothing real in that but it was wonderful. super service and good, comfy, quality food! Cheers!
