I can't say enough good things about this place! I am from NYC and come down to the endless mountains in PA as often as I can get away and I always have to make sure I stop by the Forksville General Store. They have a restaurant inside which is fun to sit and have a bite to eat because the atmosphere takes you back to a time gone by with its decor and music. The food is something particularly drawing because the owner is originally from Philadelphia and so there you'll find cheesesteaks and heroes (hoagies) made just like they do it in downtown Philly. It's also nice seeing that the place is family operated and Big Mike meets and greets all who enter. They also have a banging breakfast served daily but which I sometimes miss due to my being tardy in the morning. But like the sign in the front of the store says, "Calm Down! You're in Forksville!"
