Lunch with a coworker turned out to be quite enjoyable, with a variety of tasty food and drinks. The fried pickles were a bit too hot and the breading fell off, but the roast beef sandwich and Shepherd's pie were satisfying, even if they felt slightly overpriced at first. Despite a slow start with service, the atmosphere was vibrant and I'd definitely return for another round of pub food.
