We managed to snag a table without a reservation and were promptly seated. The menu featured both specials and regular items, and we opted for French onion soup from the special selection, which turned out to be quite tasty. Our main courses, the cheesesteak and hubie burger, came with delicious homemade potato chips seasoned with a flavorful barbecue/paprika blend.

Highly over-rated. The owner seems to think this place is "quaint". In fact, it is dilapidated, dirty, and overpriced.

LOVE THE FOOD!

I live in Zion and would love to frequent this establishment more often; however, it is a shame that they do not serve good food and cold beer. The place itself is very nice, very good atmosphere, very pretty. But, the cooler system needs updated and the bottled beer is always warm. I don't drink draft beer, but they had quite the selection. We decided to give them another chance last night (07/28/15). I was there with my boyfriend and my mother. We all had Miller Lite and they were warm, as always. The waitress brought us frosted glasses, but didn’t help much. I ordered a burger, which was pretty good, but I ordered it medium and it was rare. I thought it would be spicy since it had jalapeno aioli and banana peppers, but it was not. Mom had a Rueben and it was so soggy she couldn’t even pick it up. The BF ordered the French dip, which wasn't roast beef, but it was more like minute steak. It was over cooked and dry, the au jus was basically salty bouillon water, and skimpy on the horseradish. The coleslaw was tasteless - like cabbage and milk. All came with house-made chips which were cooked so hard and so salty, you could barely eat them. The cook likes his/her salt, that's for sure. Everything was over salted. So for 3 warm beers and 3 sucky sandwiches, the bill was $47. Salty all the way around. Out of the many, many chances we've given them, since they are so close to home, we have only had a two good meals there - wings and fish sandwich. The menu LOOKS awesome, but the food IS NOT. And warm beer is NEVER good. If you like draft beer and wings and a nice, cozy bar, then you would probably like it there. But I DO NOT recommend going there for dinner and a cold bottle of beer, because you won't get it. The Hublersburg Inn should get "no star" rating but that wasn't an option.
