During the busy holiday season from Oct - Jan, be prepared for a wait as the bakery gets crowded. The efficient system involves taking a ticket at the door and waiting for your number to be called. The large chocolate cookie was too sweet for my taste, and the cream puff was colder and less sweet than expected, but others seemed to enjoy the items offered.

My first experience with Bakery Delite, no prices posted on pastries in the case, I asked what was the price on a Easter cutout cookie, $4.00 each what a rip, I paid 83.95 for (1) 2lbs cookie tray $40.00, bought 1 Nut Roll & 1 Cream Cheese Roll, no price on them, & 1 bag with 10 slices of Easter Bread for 5.50, I asked for a receipt it just gave me the final total with a surcharge of 3.95, what kind of business doesn't give itemized receipt to know what price for each, these products better be good, you have no proof of what you paid for each item?

I've been a customer of Bakery Delite for about 15 years and, although the prices rise steadily, my husband and I still stop in from time-to-time because we love the quality baked goods. Now the quality seems to have changed as well. I stopped in this afternoon for a couple of Almond Crunch Cookies (since they're my absolute favorite) and they looked a little different, but I didn't think too much of that. However, I was eating one while I was typing this review and I'm really disappointed with the flavor. They used to have a strong almond flavor which was the reason I loved them and now the flavor is almost like that of a traditional sugar cookie. If I didn't know this was supposed to be an Almond Crunch Cookie, I wouldn't have noticed the faint almond flavor at all. This was definitely my last visit to Bakery Delite. Sanitary Bakery in Nanticoke has better baked goods at better prices which makes them well worth the drive!

about 4 months ago, i buy a dozen of choc eclairs for a dinner with guest, half of them had filling that was sour, i mentioned ot to a lady there a few days later, she said i could have returned them, hmmm, so yesterday i stop by for some bread and pastries, there was a girl there going around the nottom of the counters with a duster, then she goes to the window by the entrance where the bread is on the right and not in a case, and she dusts the window and blinds right above the bread, i put my loaf back and just got some pastries, they are very expensive, i think i am going to go to Sanitary bakery from here on out.
