Where all all these 4 & 5 star reviews? After reading this one, I'm not inclined to bring my family of 7 there next weekend for our 51st anniversary.

Very disappointing! We were there yesterday (6/18/23),Father's Day! 5 of our family was there for a special day. Myself and my family have been going there for years. Always thought the prices were high,but the quality of food,service,and drinks,have always offset the prices. Don't mind paying topshelf prices if the experience is topshelf! Something has changed! Service was good,but not exceptional Drinks were fine. Dinner was surprisingly terrible! I ordered Swordfish. I have eaten Swordfish at Alexander's many times. This was different. Use to be a somewhat round fishsteak,this was a rectangular cut. Maybe different supplier. Tasted different than any Sworsfish that I had before. Very strong fishy taste. Use to be delicious! My wife ordered a ribeye. Cooked incorrectly,full of excess fat,poor taste. Son n law's sirloin was very subpar. But,our daughter's filet was excellent! Our bill was in excess of $200. No chopped eggs or bacon pieces on the salad bar,any more. Why? Can get bacon for a $2.50 upcharge. Ridiculous! I believe we could of had a much better dinner and experience at The Lariat Club! My family have been going to Alexander's for years! At this time,I don't care if I ever go back. Waste of money for me. The owners and staff better get these problems corrected. Word of mouth and reviews can help you or hurt you!
