Great food and great service. The absolute best catfish I have ever had and the ribs are also very good. It is our favorite place to eat out and enjoy a great dinner with the best view of the river. It is well worth the the time!!

I was surprised to see a bad review for the lighthouse. The previous reviewer did not state what day it was, was it by any chance a holiday, was the resturaunt very busy and crowded? Maybe it was just a bad day which I think everybody has once in a while. I have lived in Chillicothe since 1983 and have been a regular customer over the years. It has been owned and ran by the same person for many years and even before I moved to chillicothe when it was brandons cove, it was owned by the same person, It was originally Brandons Cove, then mariners pointe, and now the Lighthouse, It is kind of funny that the first reviewers name is Gary, my name is Gary, and the owner of the Lighthouse is also a Gary, anyway as I was saying, I have been eating there off and on for over 30 years, and I usually get very fine food that is prepared with a lot of attention given to it. I am sorry to hear about your experience and believe it to be a fluke, but once in a while everybody has a bad day. Out of all the times I have eaten there with my wife, and sometimes my extended family and friends several times and only once did I ever have an issue with my food. They were very busy that night and I ordered grilled chicken which I usually do not order and my chicken was under cooked, they took it back to the kitchen made it right and were apologizing profusely. That is the only time out of many visits where I had anything but exceptional service and food. Hope you give them another chance. As for myself, my wife, mother in law and myself are going there tonight and try his lobster special whih I have not had yet but I saw the ad for lobster dinner for 22.00 and figured we would give it a try.

The service was awe-full. Arrived to have a nice dinner for two on a nice summer night. Arrived at 7 pm and was seated, 730 no waitress yet. After flagging one down they said it wasn't her table but someone would help us soon. 745 went into to inner dinning and bar to order my own wine or fined someone. 755 the assistant manager took our order for a bottle of wine to calm us down and we ordered salads asap. 820 waitress back.. hey don't hurry to take our food order. we ordered two steak dinners. 925 no food no waitress no nothing.. after being starved and now inebriated my girl went inside to ask for the check as i did have to much to drink as the wine was my whole nourishment. We paid for the wine after we tracked down our server and not to be surprised others outside were also complaining and paying their bill and leaving. Observations of poor service and frustrated clients all around us experiencing the same thing. My review is tempered down considering what i could write about the evening.. a romantic evening on a beautiful setting looking over the river turned into the worst experience i ever had. We ate at McDonald's as we were starving and frustrated.. Unless this place undergoes new management i would not recommend it unless you have 8 hours for dinner and arrive on a full stomach!
