We use to work for the same company. He and my friend worked the same job title. She took my hear and introduced me to the owner
(Very nice guy).
I got the Po BOY w/Shrimp.
It's sooooo delicious, Did I say the sandwich is addictive?
Haven't tried the other items on the menu, I get this sandwich the many times I've ordered there; along with my (2) different types of cheesecake.
Heard he opened a Sunday Brunch. Heard the food is MARVELOUS! Having trouble getting details about the Brunch. I don't do social media's, it's on Facebook.
Give Gibens a try, trust me, you will not be disappointed.

I went to Gilben's for the first time and ordered the Shrimp Poor Boy, I thought I was in New Orleans. The Poor Boy was delicious and hugh, I couldn't eat it all in one sitting and saved half for later.

Food was excellent.However,business lacks professionalism and organization. I waited for an hour for food dispite placing order via phone. Upon my arrival,I witnessed two employees arguing and the use of profanity was excessive.Secondly,Kitchen was unorganized and productivity was minimal at best.

Gilben's is the place to go! The food is exceptional and the workers are friendly!!!! It's my "Go to" place every Sunday after church!

I waited for want I thought was good food .
I food looks good but the greens, had not taste and the mac and cheese was bland.
The 5 huge chicken wings and you guess no season like everything else.
I corn bread was lite in color not baked on top.
For three platters at 47.00 wasn't a problem.
But spending good money on bad food it's just lost money

I love Soul food Sunday!!! Gilben's reminds me of a restaurant that used to be in Brooklyn called Sugar Hill.
