JTSY is a family-owned business that serves some of the best soul food I've had since moving from the South. I ordered the All Sides Dinner Platter and was blown away by the generous portions and delicious flavors that reminded me of home, especially the perfect cornbread and the seasoned greens. While my delivery experience was a bit inconsistent this time, the overall quality of the food keeps me coming back whenever I'm in town.

this place has got to be #1 in Philadelphia for Soul Food....i ordered the fried Whiting with Mac and Cheese and Candied Yams...the portions alone were huge and i knew the taste was gonna be over the top....and i was right....i would recommend this restaurant to any and everybody that LOVES SOUL FOOD!!!

Awesome food, well prepared and presented in an appealing manner. The staff is friendly and very knowledgeable of the menu. The portions are plentiful and usually provide at least three servings. Well worth the money and time, don't sleep on this place.

A bit pricey however for the portion you get. One platter feeds two to three people depending on how you eat.
Food is great. You might want to order ahead. Since the Food is cooked fresh its takes a little long.

The food portions are enormous..The staff is friendly, but sometimes play around a little too much. But, its all in the name of fun. However, some people just dont have a sense of humor so they should curb the jokes. The chefs take pride in their work, because the food is always perfect everytime.

I have never been to any restaurant that really gives you your money's worth. I can truly say that they give you more than enough. The counter staff are so funny. They are usually always pretty friendly, but everybody has some bad days. Overall they welcome everyone with a warm greeting. If I didn't know any better I would swear my grandmom was back in that kitchen. The food is delicious

The Food is excellent, the service on the other hand , they could really use some customer service training. I would recommend the food, best soul food restaurant by far.
