Before we went to the P---. Having been in the service I was tired of waiting in line. Somehow my son found The Oaks. I like the noise level,service,food and not a 30 to 45 minute wait. (or longer) While not as fancy, the food, service,and every thing else is as good or better. I am not a drinker, so I do not mind they do not serve booze.

Excellent, friendly service. Very good food. Comfortable casual atmosphere. The new outside dining patio is a real plus, very nicely done.

Last night, for my birthday, my husband and I decided to go to the Oaks for dinner. I ordered the lobster and my husband ordered the Turkey dinner. Reservations were needed but we had to wait a while because the table was not cleaned nor set up. When the dinners arrived the vegetables were cold. They replaced 2 of the vegetables(not the beans, which were al dente and horrible anyway) and even the second time the mashed potatoes were cold inside. We were not asked nor given dinner rolls(other tables had them, we noticed later). When the waitress asked how we enjoyed our meals we simply told her that I had chosen to come there on my special night because we had always enjoyed the food for years but tonight was very disappointing. She said they were short staffed and there was a new cook and yes there were some problems. "Please come back and give us another chance". REALLY?
