Been there multiple times while the servers and the food is great the management is very poor. I've seen on multiple occurrences the managers being extremely rude to their serving staff. While dining I've heard management verbally belittle the servers who work there. The severs there are great however the management is so rude to their staff that it does not make me want to come back.

Garbage, pure garbage. Chew your "prime" beef for 30 minutes and walk away with poor service and a over priced meal.

We had dinner at Houston's last night (9/12/12) and the worst part of the dinner was the mistakes from the ordering of food, during the eating of the food and the lack of acknowledgment of errors being made by our server? We've been good customers of Houston's since the early 1990's and this is the 3rd time we have had terrible service and food?
We are at a loss why management does not recognize the incompetent help and preparation of food.
Last nights vegetables were
spinach (which looked and tasted like someone took it out of a garbage can and mashed potatoes that were thrown on the plate...by the way we did not even order these two things...we order french fries and they were forgotten until we asked our server if he order them for us...then he said they would be right there....other items that we did not receive were ketchup and water until we once again asked for them and got them later? Our steaks were not as good as they usually were in the past..
We thought we would give Houston's one more try after having 2 previous meals either served overcooked or not our meals at all. Plus, the other 2 times our food was not up to Houston's usual standards. I'm sorry to say that after last night's fiasco, we will no longer visit them.
I would like to know if old timers of this restaurant have noticed the lack of service and poor food? It's a shame
that a place so very good has to miss the mark when it comes to a restaurant.

It took them 3 trys to cook my wife's steak medium well without burning it. My steak got cold. the srvice got progressively worse and they offered no compensation; unless you count the offer to provide another baked potatoe. I live in the area and they are off my dining list.

I've had baby back ribs in many restaurants, Houstons knows how to do them the best. Best ribs in Arizona. Additionally the other items on the menu are always terrific as is the atmosphere. The only draw-back is we travel a long way to get there. I wish they had another Houstons in north Scottsdale.
