Delicious Mexican food awaits at this restaurant near the AZ State Capitol. The red and green chili breakfast options are a standout, along with the flavorful beans. The diverse menu offers something for everyone, from tamales to burritos, all served with friendly and efficient service.

My husband and I stopped in for the first time two weeks ago. I ordered the Fiesta plate and my husband got the Chile Relleno. First thing I noticed was the home made quality of the food. The red chile sauce is the best I've tasted in a long time. Compared to Mexican chain restaurants, this is one family owned business that will keep us coming back.

La Canasta Capitolio has the best Sonoren Food in AZ. The restaurant is causal and great for large gatherings. The service is FAST with prices that fit my budget for the great food you get. A small bonus for me is that they brew their own Tea and have a wide selection of drinks. My favorite is the Pollo Rico Combo and the Carne Asada - the best I have had and big. it is worth driving to for Dinner with the family. Just outside of downtown, this is the place to stop before a game or show. Parking is great and you can get to your event quickly.
