The wife and I drive to Phoenix everyday for work, so we usually stop at El Ranchero at least twice a week. We have been customers for years, and have always loved the food. Lately however, the service is quite lacking. The server will take your order, then someone else brings the food, but that is the last you will see of any service. Last week we spoke with the cashier about our lack of service, and she simply listened then replied, "Sorry, they aren't supposed to be that way." She was then done and walked away.

We went back again tonight, and the service was actually worse. When we got to the register to pay, my wife informed the server, (who had also been our original order taker), that no one had come back to the table to provide refills or even check on us. The server replied in an extremely condescending tone, " Oh, I'm sorry .... did you need a copy of your receipt?" She obviously cared as much about hearing of our displeasure as she did about providing service.

We will be spending our money somewhere else, at least for a while.
