I found this restaurant almost 10 yrs ago when we moved to Vancouver. My family went there for my dad's birthday, and my wife and I try to go there at least 1-2 a month. We've NEVER been disappointed with anything that we've ordered at Golden City.

I've been here several times and not once have I been disappointed. The sesame chicken and the broccoli chicken are amazing! I would also recommend the shrimp rolls, I think they are called, they are small but like nothing I've ever had simply delicious. Oh and the crab puffs, yum nothing out of the ordinary but a delicious treat all the same. Literally everything I've had here is amazing, the orange chicken, walnut shrimp, BBQ pork or shrimp fried rice, the lo mein, I don't even like lo mein but here I will eat it. And oh my gosh I almost forgot! The hot and sour soup it is the best I've ever had and the only hot and sour that I will eat. All in all I would say this is the best Chinese food in Vancouver and I refuse to eat at any other chinese place in Vancouver. Thank you Golden City I hope to eat your delicious food for years and years to come! Ps they are closed on Mondays so don't try to go there then.

My husband and I went there yesterday for the first time. I was blown away! Their service was excellent and their food was astounding. I'd never had orange beef before and I was a little bit skeptical at first, but as soon as the beef hit my tongue I had to close my eyes! The flavor and texture were AMAZING! I could tell that everything we ordered there had been made with love. I don't know their names, but I gathered that the two men that served and cooked for us yesterday were brothers. If they're reading this, I want to thank them for a wonderful meal and for excellent service. Thank you!

Looking for an amazing Chinese food experience look no further. This place is great, my family has been choosing Golden City for almost four years now. They have the absolute best Sweet and Sour pork, shrimp, chicken and the reason being is the sauce that they make! Not the gelatin sugar loaded stuff most places serve this stuff is made daily and has fresh veggies and what not in it. We absolutely love their Beef and Broccoli as well. Its a great place; excellent atmosphere and to place a large order only takes them 20 minutes to complete. When we dine in there my son always asks for chocolate milk, now not serving or having chocolate milk they specially made a trip to the store to get it for him! Can you think of any other place that would do that for their customers? Try it and I guarantee this will be your favorite as well. The staff is super friendly and with as long as we have been going there they know us by name. Even got a duck for Christmas dinner one year. Just a great place to be!

I always judge a Chinese restaurant on their noodles, and I love their noodles. They have an extensive menu. This is a great Chinese food place for the Vancouver area, and a good value for the money. So far the food has been very consistent.
