We are frequent customers of the Corvallis El Sol de Mexico. Visiting Tigard, we requested what we usually order:one Enchilada dinner and one Platillo Jalisco dinner, both chicken. The dinners include rice and beans.

One enchilada dinner was fine. The other dinner was the same thing with extra spices on top--not our order whatsoever. We paid full price plus a $5 dollar tip.

The person who took the order never told us they don't carry a Platillo Jalisco (plate in the style of the Jalisco region). In Corvallis, the dish includes strips of chicken with a tangy tomatillo sauce.

The manager, available the next day, would barely let us speak to explain the problem nor would he refund the mistaken order. To me, if they don't carry something, they should tell you.

We don't expect every branch to be exactly the same but this was so different that it was confusing.

The main thing is if someone has a concern, please let them say what that is. At least, be courteous and hear the customer's logical complaint.

To be as fair as possible, we arrived late in the day and were delayed hours from ordering any dinner because of computer problems. We picked a place that we knew of and our usual order rather than studying the menu.

Sigh.

Wow ! I decided to get a order on line and pick it up i ordered from the menu on line that stated there number 7 beef burrito was 6.50 when i got there it was 8.50 and the guy at the register told me they dont have a online menu (how do you think i ordered) then it came with beans and rice and the beans were not even a teaspoon portion. :-( not a good experience for the first time i did that. wont be doing that again!

Our favorite and we are lucky it is close by. The staff is great and so friendly. The food is excellent! Just love this place.

Best Mexican restaurant in Tigard/Durham area. Great food, fast service, great prices! We eat there weekly.

This is my all time favorite Mexican restaurant. I especially love the chili rellenos but everything I've tried has been excellant. The owner and his staff are always friendly and the service is second to none. We often drive up from Salem when we want really good food.

Best food and service hands down. We love going there as much as possible. The Camerones a la Diabla are ridiculously delicious. It is a must try (if you are okay with a little spice).
