I enjoy the authentic cheesesteak from Pat's, but the suburbs also have great options. The meat is cooked and cut perfectly, and the bread is soft and fresh. While they don't have hot red cherry peppers, the hoagie is delicious enough to add my own at home.

I don't know who is writing these reviews but it can't be anyone who has eaten these sandwiches since Grant's opened and the sandwiches the way they are now. We used to get these sandwiches twice a week at least. Because of work hours and the fact they are not open on weekends we haven't had them in quite a while. We were finally able to go back last month and tonight and I can't believe the difference. There is absolutely NO seasoning whatsoever in the very dry steak which used to be very flavorful and moist. I asked for peppers and onions and got only peppers. The bread is dry. The free chips were the only thing with any flavor. We will no longer be sorry if we have to miss eating at Grant's. The sandwiches are no longer worth the rather high price.

I just ate one of the 2 best cheesesteak sandwiches to be had in Portland. Amoroso's bread, provolone, grilled onions and peppers, a grape pop and Grant's homemade chips. WOWIE!
I will come back. No Tasty-kake but, oh well. Just have to wait for the vending machines! :)))
