The food here can take a bit to come out, especially on a busy Friday night with short staffing, but that's just part of the vibe. The waitress we had was a riot, kept us entertained the whole time! If you're okay with a bit of a lively atmosphere and don't mind a few water marks on the tables, this joint has a diverse menu that should satisfy even the pickiest eaters!

We live on the ES and have frequented Hope Street Pizza, normally just OK for quick dinner. This last visit we sat in the bar, service in a work RUDE. Bartender spent a lot of time checking her phone, we had to ask her for service then she told us that she knew we were there... Food, chix tenders for one of my children very salty, burger way overdone and nothing else on the plate eggplant obviously frozen.. not returning anytime soon too many other place to have a mediocre dinner.. sorry

I love Hope Street pizza! Have had pizza (many varieties), steak & cheese, french fries (YUM), meatball grinder, antipasto salad, and Greek salad-- all of these many times. The pizza toppings are always fresh and plentiful, and the salads are big and tasty. I always think that steak & cheese grinders could use more meat and cheese, i.e. the sub roll should be busting at the seams, that said, this place is on par with others-- so I usually request a little extra.
owners/servers are super-friendly and treat you more like an acquaintance than a customer.
the addition of the bar side is also a major plus-- great looking bar with flat-screen TVs, a fun place to watch sports!
thumbs up!

Saki, will you please fire those bartenders. They are terrible. And...do you see how much alcohol they are giving away to their friends that come in and take up all of their attention from PAYING customers. That is, of course when they are not looking at themselves in the mirror. We are only takeout folks now because of them.

What?! I don't know whether previous reviewers have no taste buds, have never eaten decent food, or what, but the service and the food here was downright awful. I (from out of town) came in with a local friend expecting a relaxing lunch, only to have my eardrums assaulted by the owner's drunken, relentless, audacious, vuvuzela-blowing. Personally, I don't care if you're the pope, but you won't ruin my meal with your World Cup shenanigans. My friend and I walked out, but was convinced to at least dine al-fresco, because I thought I could give the food a shot. The pizza was small for the $8 price tag (about an inch bigger than a Celeste pizza for one) and GREASY GREASY GREASY!
She wasn't even courteous with her apology that ruined out meal. It was like WE had inconvenienced HER because we ordered and we couldn't stand to listen to this stupid noisemaker, just because he was "the restaurant's owner." Well, learn to have a little respect for your customers, because some people want to relax and enjoy their food, and not have their ears accosted with b-llsh-t noise.

Not only is the food outstanding and very reasonable but the staff is great. Whether you are doing take out or eat in--This place is a must.

Since when do spinach pies come in grinder rolls? Poor rendition of one of my all time favorites. It's not like they don't have pizza dough or anything. Come on, grinder roll? I probably wouldn't have left this review if it weren't for the fact that last time I got a pizza here it was below mediocre. too bad. I can say I won't go again.

From the greek pizza, souvlaki and killer greek salad with marinated grilled chicken to the fish and chips, chicken broccoli ziti and french fries this place is great!! Family restaurant and hometown bar feel - it can not be beat!

The pizza is wonderful as is the Greek Salad.
Aside from all that, the staff is very helpful and the owner makes a point of saying hello and seems to remember the patrons. Wonderful all around!

This is an incredible restaurant. If you go here, you shoudl try the french fries. They are perfect. The pizza is also incredible. There are a wide selection of food, and it is a small restaurant. The atmosphere is incredible, and nothing like the other big chain restaurants of the area. I suggest this to anyone who is visiting Providence for a couple of days.

This place has the best Greek Pizza! We try different foods every time we go and loved everything. Service was great. The Owner loves to greet and talk to his customers.
