Top Reviews of Ivy Tavern

Ivy Tavern has maintained a consistent level of quality since I began visiting in 2010, particularly excelling with their veggie burger, which stands out in Providence. The service is friendly and attentive, and while parking can be a challenge due to the venue's size, the overall experience, including the food and ambiance, makes it worth a visit.

I've been going to Ivy Tavern for years and it's still one of my favorite spots. The food is consistently good and they always get my order right. The atmosphere is cozy, and the staff is friendly and helpful. It's a solid choice for a casual meal with friends or family.

Great

I can't vouch for the whole menu, but what I had was disappointing, even more so since it was highly recommended by my server who, I think, was more interested in pointing me to something expensive. The beer was mediocre - why pay for a mediocre beer when you can use the money towards a six-pack of something really good? - again, recommended by my server. Yuck.

Best kept secret in town.

Amazing food, good beer (including Dogfish Head on draft).

Service is slow. But hell, what do you expect? This is a neighborhood pub, not McDonalds. However, if you're willing to wait about 10 minutes longer than the average (dinner service takes about 20 minutes), the food is *delicious*, and goddamit, the portions are BIG. All in all, this is one of my favorite places in Providence.

Shhh! Don't tell anyone!!!

Always interesting people and a lot of sports talk. The food is fantastic. You'd pay twice the price at a white table cloth place. Great beer and very good martinis.

review_stars 09/12/2009 - does it matter?
A friend of mine told me this was an awesome bar...............maybe i need to go in with her to get treated with respect.

Excellent food. Not your usual pub food...vegi dishes, great fish and seafood and...of course...some good ol' pub food as well. Laid back atmosphere and nice selection of beers. If you're a sports fan...there's a Sports Channel on every TV in every corner! Never a really long wait on busy nights (except when the Sox are in town). Enjoy...I sure do!
