Best time here

My wife and I popped into Zooma for lunch on Saturday. We split two appetizers - a fried zucchini dish (to die for!) and a seafood salad - also wonderful. We then split a Margarita pizza which, out of the wood oven, was amazing. We finished with two wonderful desserts. The service and atmosphere couldn't have been better. Even the house cabernet was great! Highly recommend this restaurant!

the food was skimpy, left there hungry, pasta fagoli was watered down, five spoonfuls and you were done, never again

Food was Great! Service is horrible :(

I had the special, pasta filled bags of mushroom, good taste but too salty and the pasta was a bit tough. The beef capaccio was lost in the heavily salted dressing. The bread's interior had huge holes, so there was basically just very hard, over baked crust. Not a happy meal, but I will try it again, maybe the chef was having a bad day.

This was my second visit to Zooma and I wasn't so impressed yet again. The final cost impressed me but not the food. Calamari was delicious. Our table also ordered the tomato and mozzarella which was just very basic. The two specials were OK but for 34 dollars one really wants EXCELLENT. Salmon was way too undercooked for me. The pasta dish was the star of the evening. Next visit to Providence will be a trip to anther resteraunt. Sorry..!!

The food At Zooma was very expensive and the portions are so SMALL. I ordered a pasta entree for $17.00 couldn't believe how small it was. Very disappointed. The waiter was not very attentive, maybe because it was only a party of two. Left Hungry... Would not go back.

Well, this was the last meal that I ate before going to the big house some years back. I also had my first meal there when I was "dis-charged" from the big house. The place never changed and I must add that I left my toupee there and it was never returned. Well, they did find the rug and returned it but by then I got used to not wearing it and just gave it to my pet dog who used it as a toy. As they used to say in the slammer "I give it one thumbs up".

A business colleague and I just had absolutely the WORST lunch experience of my life at Zooma...
Poor service and bad attitude. The rudest waiter I've ever encountered...an aggressive attitude combined with complete lack of accountability for his horrendous service. He started out reluctant to seat us at a table (despite obviously having some open).. Slow service and aggressive attitude when we asked why it was taking so long.
A simple salad and glass of wine took 30min to arrive. Our lunch entrees still didn't arrive after 1h 20 min...and the place wasn't really that busy. Just incredibly bad. We finally had to pay and leave without ever receiving our entree. I'll never go there again, and strongly suggest others to avoid Zooma.

Finally a restaurant with normal size portions, not the giant sized ones that every other restaurant wants to give you. The service was great, the food was delicious and the price was reasonable since we did the 4 course meal for two for $39 including a bottle of wine (which was okay). I enjoyed myself and the ambiance and will definitely go back.

We ate at the chef's table and had an awesome experience. Stephanie was our chef of the evening and everything she cooked with perfection. She is a student at JWU and you can tell she is a natural cook. Kudo's to her in her chosen profession. Great food. I would highly recommend anything on the menu for we were able to sample lots.

Saw the ad on tv and wanted to try something different, what a pleasant surprise. Our friends had the pre-fix, which they raved about. I had an escarole salad (superb), my wife had the ceaser and we split 2 pastas (aglio-olio and 4 cheese gnocci) that were phenomenal (i don't get the previous review, $15 for a plate of house made pasta is very reasonable). Great service, reasonably priced, cool atmosphere, free valet, what's not to like. I highly reccomend.

My friend order a 15 dol pasta meal, it came in a small bowl. like a cario bowl very small and over prince. when we left the waiter ran outside and ask us where was his tip, we send we left u cash he wanted more money because it would not cover the 15%. I WILL NEVER GO BACK THEIR....

This place is amazing. I went there with my boyfriend after he read a review online and read about a taste testing. We went in and asked about it. We sat on this little table right next to the chef's and they cooked us a 5 course meal! It was absolutely amazing.
The executive chef cooked our meals and was extremely friendly. He talked to us about our likes and dislikes and then explained everything he put in his dishes. It was really nice to eat dishes that weren't even on the menu. In the end it was extremely well priced for the amount of food we ate. I would DEFINITELY recommend this type of dining experience at Zooma!

I went to Zooma with a group of friends and my expectations were high. I can honestly say that I have never been in an establishment with a ruder person then the manager, he is also the executive chef, a fat guy. He was the rudest man I have ever met and strut around like he was God. I will never go back to this place and will tell my friends the same. HORRIBLE. BE WARNED ABOUT THIS MAN!!

This was my first time here. Lunch was great. The pasta was perfectly al dente and after the first bite I thought I was sitting on a piazza in Italy. The Ceasar salad was perfectly portioned although a bit more dressing would have made it better and the garlic crouton capped it off perfectly. I will definitely be back. I can't wait to try it for dinner.

Walked by with my girlfriend last Sat. night, the outside flowers brought us in. The food was amazing. Most pastas are made there and the Lobster Caramellos were, as my girlfriend put it, orgasmic. Excellent native tomato caprese salad, delicious, very different eggplant parm appetizer. Incredibly tender veal and mushrooms.
Great cocktails and lounge but we opted for the back dining room. Perhaps a bit loud, a little pricey but overall an amazing dining experience and we'll definately go back.

A really nice surprise for lunch. The Insalata di cesare and Spagnettini sciue sciue were terrific and portions adequate and attractive. At first I was anxious about the TV being put on but the sound was off and I enjoyed the background music. I'll have no problem recommending Zooma for lunch!

Wanted to have a reasonably priced dinner, so we sat in the bar area on a quiet Friday night. Food was mixed: one of the best ceasar salads I've ever had, but a very mediocre pizza. Service was great and the drinks/wine list were good. Not that cheap - four drinks, one pizza, one salad and a couple of sides came to $75. But the atmosphere is fun and it's in a great location.

The service was absolutely horrible. Perhaps our waiter had a hangover, that's why he was slow and impolite. The food was good, but overpriced. We sat at the bar area, which was ok, but nothing special.
I will not go back to this restaurant!

Very pleasant place to have drinks and food with friends. Atmosphere was nice, drinks and food were great, service was not bad... waiter that doesn't have to write orders down is very good and remembers the specials, our waiter was that.. just slow on bringing drinks, and it was a snowy Friday night. Zooma is one of my favorite places to dine in New England.
