We have visited this restaurant so many times and each time the food has always been to our satisfaction. Being Italian,,,we know what good Italian food should taste like, and yes it is moderately priced, good selection to choose from and delicious. I agree, the service could be better and quicker. As far as the owner goes, Ralph always comes over to you and thanks you for dining in his restaurant. We will be eating there again shortly.

We have dined at Ralph's Bull & Claw many times and everytime we have gone my husband says that is the best linguini with clam sauce that I have ever had. Myself I am a veal marsals fan. The food is without a doubt fantastic and I would recomend dining trying it you to will love it.

I've lived in Providence for over 20 years and just recently went to Ralph's Bull & Claw Tavern. I consider myself somewhat of a "foodie" and I give the food at this restaurant a 10. It's not gourmet, just simple Italian done right and the prices are very reasonable.
The atmosphere is very 70's and reminds me of places my Dad took me to when I was a kid. I hope they never give the place a face-lift. It's perfect just the way it is.

Recently, on a quiet Sunday eve, while only 5 tables were occupied, it took my party of 4 well over an hour for our entrees. All items were regular menu dinners. By the time we were served, other parties that came in after we were seated had dined, paid and left.
When dinner was finally served, the chicken franchaise was under cooked. When we questioned, the owner came over and explained it was prepared to their specifications. I guess their specifications (under cooked) trumps a customer's expectations. We paid and left - 100% dissatisfied!
At home I had planned to give the chicken to our dogs until I cut this open and found it was worse than my original observation.
In fainess, we had dined their before and enjoyed it. But for the owner not to get this done right and then insult me with "it's done to our specification"? He obviously didn't cut it open to check out our complaint. We're not going back!
