The Chinese restaurant I tried recently had great food and service. I ordered the kung pao chicken for takeout and it was delicious, definitely planning to go back soon for more. The staff was friendly and efficient, making the whole experience enjoyable.

Excellent food! The owner and staff are always friendly. It's the now only Chinese food we eat in Rapid.

Food was fair/good. Hostess was very rude. Could not wait to move us out of the restaurant so that another could bring them in more $$$$$. Will not return. There are others in RC that not only has good food but also better customer service.

I must have hit the Golden Phoenix on a bad night because my food (curry chicken) made me very ill. I almost had to stop at a gas station bathroom on the way home. Also, my food was flavorless and the service was not all that.

I visit the Golden Phoenix every time I visit Rapid City. I lived there for 22 years and since moving away I have not found another restaurant with food that even comes close to the Golden Phoenix.
They recognize us every time we come in and always make us glad we return. Food is by far THE BEST!!!! I would rate the restaurant 100 out of 5.

golden phoenix is sensational my family have been going there for my hole life and I'm 15 years old we go there every week and i always get the buffet its on Sundays 11 to 1 i stay there for the whole 2 hours its the only Chinese restaurant ill eat in rapid city

We spent years vacationing on the west coast and this fine Chinese restaurant would easily make money in San Francisco's Chinatown. The food is excellent and priced so you can indulge in a great feast. It is an area wide favorite.
