YOU CAN HAVE THE NEW JOHNNY'S. I'LL TAKE THE OLD!

It is with a heavy heart and a very sad feeling that I write this
review. My wife and I have enjoyed Johnny's for 30 years.
We have never had anything but a great dining experience there.
Two nights ago, we took another couple to Johnny's for dinner.
Three of the main courses were up to standard and the service
was great (Thank you David).
The pasta with my clam linguine was like a pile of wall paper paste.
I managed to pick out most of the clams and that was my dinner.
I mentioned to our waiter that the pasta was not up to par. He told
the chef and the host. No adjustment in the bill was even mentioned,
let alone offered. All I got was dialogue on how hard it is to make
pasta from scratch. I know that. I have made pasta from scratch
many times. I thought the absence of any solution being presented
was inappropriate. I support local businesses and always apply extra
gratuity to the servers as I did after this meal.
Johnny Cassinari would have handled this properly.

We try to go a few times a year for those special date nights. Food quality is always top notch, prices are reasonable and service is excellent. From time to time the service is just good, but this restaurant is very busy all the time so it's understandable. They offer two family-style dinner options which are both excellent and well priced. Love the ambiance and location. Overall the best Italian restaurant in Reno.
