I visited Manila Hongkong to try their unique halo halo and was impressed by the Hawaiian bread with purple yam inside. The service was excellent, with staff willing to explain unfamiliar dishes. The store is spacious and beautifully organized, offering a wide selection of Filipino ingredients and dishes.

I called and lady said they were not cooking that day and did not have item requested. Being familiar with the kitchen it didn't sound right. I went the following day and was told they cook every day and they had my item when I called and they cooked that day I called. Reported to manager. The counter kitchen staff were excellent when I went in the following day.

This place is awesome!!! So many variety Filipino products! You will not miss home food when you are in this place.

If you are not easily deterred by the smells of an Asian store, then Manila Hong Kong Kitchen would be a great place to go. It is located inside Manila Hong Kong grocery store on Oddie Blvd right next to Savers. Their Filipino food is delicious and the staff is friendly. I would've given it 5 stars but the only downside is the price. It's a too little expensive given the location but it's a good place to go if you don't want to cook at home or if you have a hankering for Filipino food.
