The food and service at this charming cafe are exceptional, making each visit feel like a warm reunion with family. With a unique decor that reflects its history as an old train station, the atmosphere is inviting and cozy, perfect for enjoying their delicious homemade pies and generous portions. I've enjoyed everything from the blueberry pancakes to the all-you-can-eat fish fry, and the friendly staff always makes the experience memorable.

We used to enjoy visiting this place which used to be known for great breakfasts. However after today's experience we will never return. The place is very dirty, we were all served with dirty dishes/silverware. The service was horrible. When we showed that our fork was dirty, the waitress literally grabbed another "unused" fork from another table that was currently being used by another customer and expected us to use it! The booster seat for my daughter was full of dirt/grime, we asked for their American fries with grilled onions (what they used to be known for) and we were served with deep-fried potatoes (way over done) with RAW onions piled on top. The waitress constantly forgot about us, there was dirt/dust everywhere and the carpet has not been cleaned in a long time. We didn't even eat our food, told the waitress that it was awful and it appeared this is a common issue as she quickly told us our meal was at "no charge" and didn't even act surprised or ask us why. If we never go back it will be too soon.

This restaurant is a down home type atmosphere, with
fantastic food and the personnel calls you by name and can remember your drink requests. The owner, Jim, comes out to check if everything is OK. I
would recommend this restaurant to everyone, you will not leave with a hungry stomach.

Breakfast is great, especially one of the variations on biscuits and gravy or the country breakfast. Hamburgers are made from hand formed patties and are very good! The daily specials are almost always hits as are the homemade desserts. The waitresses have all been there for years and are friendly and efficient. Overall there's nothing out of the ordinary on the menu but most things are very good and the prices are extremely reasonable. Make sure and ask for the homemade bread for sandwiches or toast. It's smoke-free, overall good food and friendly people! Worth the drive out to Marne if you're looking for good food at a reasonable price!
